Kick off New Year with the Tigers this Sunday

Figure image
Kick off a new year of Aviva Premiership rugby by joining us for Leicester Tigers against league leaders Saracens at Welford Road on Sunday. Kick-off is at 3pm and tickets are on general sale now.

Tickets have been in big demand for this New Year’s Day fixture against the reigning English and European champions but there is still availability on the terrace and seating areas.

Another 24,000-plus crowd is expected for the opening action of 2017 as Tigers return to home territory.

Saracens were beaten 21-13 on their last visit to Welford Road in March when tries from Freddie Burns and Vereniki Goneva secured the points for Tigers, but won the opening meeting this term 24-10 at Allianz Park in October.

You can book your match ticket now and share in another big rugby occasion at the home of the Tigers.

If you book a Tigers Half Season Ticket covering the last seven home fixtures in the regular season – starting with the European Champions Cup match against Glasgow Warriors on Saturday, January 21 – you will also receive a £10 voucher towards a match ticket for the Saracens game.

Secure your match tickets or Half Season Ticket at the Tigers ticket office now. Book in person at Welford Road, phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2) or online by clicking here. The office is open 9.00am-5.00pm Monday-Saturday and from 9am on matchday this week. Or book online any time. A print-at-home service is available on online sales, or pick up pre-paid tickets at the Collection Point on the plaza in front of the main stand on your way into the game.

Centrebus have confirmed that their matchday bus services on all four routes – from Market Bosworth, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray and Oakham – will be in operation on New Year’s Day. Click here for more details and the full timetable.

In a change to Tigers’ ticket sales policy this season, match tickets are now released for full sale from the ticket office wherever possible only after kick-off dates and times have been confirmed.

Tickets for the latest batch of confirmed games in the Aviva Premiership – at home to Gloucester and Bristol in February and Exeter Chiefs in March – are also on general sale now.

Also, tickets for the Anglo-Welsh Cup derby against Northampton Saints on Saturday, January 28 and for the Champions Cup Round 6 fixture against Glasgow Warriors on Saturday, January 21 (kick-off 5.30pm) are now released for general sales.

Half Season Tickets, covering the last seven fixtures in the regular season in league and cups are on sale now with prices from £125 adults, £55 juniors and available in gold, silver and bronze seating, and on the terrace, with price categories for adults, concessions, young adults & full-time students, juniors and families (2 adults and 2 juniors with the second junior going free compared with individual prices).
