Matchday guide: European Champions Cup

European Champions Cup rugby returns to Welford Road on Saturday as Leicester Tigers host Glasgow Warriors in the final action of the pool stages of the tournament. Kick-off is at 5.30pm.

Tigers kicked off the European season with defeat in Scotland but will be aiming to end on a high note, while the visitors are chasing the points that would give them a place in the quarter-finals for the first time.

Scottish visits to Welford Road in European competition have been rare, with Glasgow meeting Tigers five times in the early years of the tournament but this season’s meetings have been the first since 2001.

The Tigers Club Store and ticket office will be open from 9am on Saturday.

The Junior Tigers Club, with activities for young supporters and an opportunity to run out in front of a big home crowd as a matchday mascot or Tiger Cub, is open from 3.30pm.

Turnstiles and all internal bars and food kiosks open at 4.00pm.

Team news from both camps is announced at noon on Friday. Look out for updates on the Tigers club website and social media channels.

This week’s 100-page match programme includes a special feature on this week’s supporters’ event in the company of two generations of Tigers players, plus a full guide to the Champions Cup and visitors Warriors, and all the news from the Tigers. Pick up your copy around the stadium, price £3.

A Fan Radio service is available at Welford Road with referee microphone on one channel and match commentary on the other. Units cost £15 for the whole of this season and next. Buy your set in the Club Store or shop kiosks around the stadium. Click here for more details.

Half-time entertainment includes The Ultimate Big Boot and we will also reveal the name of the winner in our season ticket holder in the TigersLotto.

Official matchday bus services run by Centrebus are in operation on four routes. There is also a separate supporters’ bus available from Rugby and Lutterworth. For more information on Tigers travel, and this week’s timetable, please click here.

And the action doesn’t stop with the final whistle as we’ll have live music from Rock Bottom and the ticket office and club store will remain open for an hour after the match.

Please note, too, that there will be a special presentation to a member of the Tigers squad immediately after the final whistle on the pitch next to the dug-outs.

Tickets for Saturday and for forthcoming home games including the Anglo-Welsh Cup match with Northampton Saints next Saturday (January 28 at 3.00pm) are on general sale and can be booked at the ticket office now.

A Tigers Half Season Ticket covers entry to the last seven home games of the regular season – starting this weekend – with prices from £125 adults, £55 juniors.

The ticket office is open 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday and for an hour after every home game. Book in person at Welford Road or phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2). Or click here to book online any time. There is a print-at-home option for all tickets bought online.

If you are picking up any pre-paid match tickets on your way to the game, the Collection Point is based on the plaza outside main reception.

If you are attending the game, don't forget to click 'Going' on the Tigers Facebook page.

See you on Saturday!
