Front-rower Greg Bateman has agreed terms on a new contract with Leicester Tigers.

Signed from Exeter Chiefs in the summer of 2015, Bateman has made 29 first-team appearances for Tigers and etched his name in club history this season after playing in all three front-row positions for the club.

The 27-year-old Bateman said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my year-and-a-half here so far. We’ve got a great bunch of lads here and a good environment across the board. It’s a club where everyone wants to achieve success and I want to continue to be part of that.”

Tigers head coach Aaron Mauger added: “Greg has worked hard as part of a very competitive front-row group here and has also shown his versatility and value to the squad by playing at prop and hooker in his time with Tigers. We look forward to seeing his continued development in this squad.”
