Leicester Tigers fly-half Tom Hardwick contributed a try and three conversions in his debut for England Under-18s in victory over Scotland on Sunday.

Hardwick and Tigers academy colleague Joe Heyes played their part in a 31-17 victory for England in a fixture played at Preston Grasshoppers RFC, following up a 43-14 win over France a week earlier.

England led 12-7 at half-time after tries from lock Joe Tunney and flanker Aaron Hinkley, with Hardwick grabbing a try in the second-half to go with further scores from Cameron Redpath and Tom Seabrook.

England Under-18s face Wales at Ebbw Vale in their next fixture on Sunday, March 26.

Head coach John Fletcher said: “The weather made it difficult but our intentions were excellent today. We can be pleased with how these two games have gone and I think we will continue to improve as the season goes on.”
