Opta stats from Anglo-Welsh Cup Final

Tigers' heroic defensive display in the Anglo-Welsh Cup Final victory is underlined by the official statistics which show that Leicester had the 12 top tacklers in the game.

Harry Thacker led the way with 26 tackles in the 16-12 win against Exeter Chiefs, followed by fellow forwards Harry Wells (21) and Mike Williams (20), according to OPTA.
 
Freddie Burns  made the most tackles by a back in the Final with 18, while man-of-the-match George McGuigan (17), Lachlan McCaffrey (14), Jack Roberts (13), Ellis Genge and Mathew Tait (both 12), Dom Barrow and Greg Bateman (both 11) and Graham Kitchener (10) all made more tackles in the game than any Exeter player.
 
McCaffrey led the way in terms of turnovers with two in the Final with six other Tigers players making one turnover each.
 
Tom Brady, who scored a crucial first-half try at the Twickenham Stoop, made the most metres of any player in the game with 96m followed by Peter Betham (50m) and Jack Roberts (40m).
 
Thacker and Wells, who started all six of Tigers’ Anglo-Welsh Cup fixtures, topped the tackle stats for the competition with 83 and 68 tackles respectively, both more than any other player across the 16 competing teams.
 
Luke Hamilton was second only to Dave Ward (Harlequins) in terms of turnovers with seven across the Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign. Thacker was close behind with six.
 
Thacker and Hamilton were second and third in terms of the number of carries across the competition with 63 and 62 respectively. Alex Rieder (Wasps) was top with 79.
 
Burns, who started in five of the games, made more metres than any other Tigers player in the competition with 256m. He also beat 19 defenders, the most by a Tiger.
 
Tom Croft, who featured in five games, won the most lineouts for Tigers with 15 while Graham Kitchener, who played in three games, had the most steals with three.
