JTC Takeover winners prepare for the big day

Young fans will enjoy a unique opportunity to help out behind the scenes at a big Leicester Tigers home game when JTC Takeover Day returns.

Supported by Nottingham Building Society and high street retailers next, JTC Takeover Day is back for the Aviva Premiership clash with Newcastle Falcons on Saturday, April 15.
 
Junior Tigers Club members will take on key roles in the build up to the game and around the stadium on matchday.
 
They include Isobelle Kennard, who won the competition to design the matchday poster to promote the game.
 
Isobelle, of Great Barr, Birmingham, who attends Ferndale Primary School, visited the club offices at Welford Road with her dad Neil to work with graphic designer Gaz Nash on the poster.
 
A season ticket holder in the Holland & Barrett Stand, Isobelle said: “I had an idea of how I wanted the poster to look and Gaz brought it to life.”
 
Dad Neil added: “I’m really proud of her. I think the poster is going to look great around the ground.”
 
Bayleigh Steemson-Weir will help kitman Clive Galloway set up the home dressing room for matchday. Lily Kirk will be the matchday announcer, helping Tigers’ stadium announcer Martin Ballard to read out the teamsheet before kick-off.
 
Tigers’ resident DJs Thrust and Power will be helped by brothers George and Charlie Cooper, while Jack Audas will work with the Tiger Images photography team as the matchday photographer.
 
Cameron Wolf is the matchday reporter and will join local and national media in covering the game from the press box. Benjamin Squires is the matchday interviewer and will get to quiz players for a Q&A in the hospitality area before the game.
 
Ashton Fletcher will be the mini Welford, the Tigers mascot, and Harry Taylor will be the mini Robin Hood, the Nottingham Building Society mascot.
 
Matthew Adam Smith won the competition set by JTC supporters next to design a T-shirt to be worn by the matchday mascots.
