Leicester Tigers academy trio Tom Hardwick, Joe Heyes and Sam Grahamslaw celebrated victory with England Under-18s in the International Series on Wednesday evening, while club colleague Tommy Reffell played a full part in another win for Wales at the tournament.

Hardwick, starting at centre, scored a try, two conversions and a penalty as England sealed successive victories with a 39-20 verdict against Ireland at Parc y Scarlets before Wales beat Canada 50-14. Tigers academy team-mates Heyes and Grahamslaw were among the England replacements.

“We scored some great tries and created a number of opportunities on the attack which is really pleasing," said England Under-18 head coach John Fletcher.

"However, I think what excited us most was how strong we were defensively against a good Ireland side who are known for their physicality.”

The final day of the International Series is on Sunday at the CCB Centre for Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach. England face Scotland at 2:30pm before Wales kick off against Ireland at 4:15pm.
