Boris Stankovich has been confirmed as a coach on the Leicester Tigers Masterclass series this summer.
Tigers are again holding a series of one-day Masterclasses for young players at Welford Road during May and June, with three separate sessions allowing young players to focus on key parts of the game, plus a fourth day specifically for girls.
Following confirmation that Brett Deacon will be leading the Breakdown & Defence Masterclass on Wednesday, May 31, we are delighted to announce that former Tigers prop and current scrum coach Stankovich will take our Forward Play & Scrum Masterclass on Thursday, June 1.
Stankovich began his career as a hooker but firmly established himself as a prop during five years with Albi in France, winning promotion to the Top 14 in 2005/06. He joined Leicester Tigers in 2007 and was a three-time Premiership title winner with the club as well as winning the Anglo-Welsh Cup in 2012 before returning to Welford Road as scrum coach this year.
These Masterclass sessions are the only camps in which young players have access to train on the Welford Road pitch, following in the footsteps Leicester Tigers legends.
