Leicester Tigers have been taking the Anglo-Welsh Cup on a tour of some of the club's sponsors.

Staff at Holland & Barrett, Breedon Group, Mattioli Woods and Fischer Future Heat posed for photos and held the cup, the latest addition to the Tigers trophy cabinet.

Tigers lifted the Anglo-Welsh Cup for a record third time with a 16-12 victory over Exeter Chiefs at the Twickenham Stoop.

Tigers took the trophy on tour to sponsors’ head offices across the Midlands as a way of saying thank you for their on-going support.

Peter Tom CBE, Tigers executive chairman and Breedon Group chairman, said: “We are very proud of Tigers to have won the Anglo Welsh Cup and wanted to share that success with some of our main sponsors.

“Our sponsors play an important role in supporting the club and we wanted to take the trophy around to see as many staff members as possible.  This kind of interaction is what makes the Tigers so special, and helps to develop strong relationships with our sponsors.”

Peter Aldis, chief executive of Holland & Barrett International Limited, said: “A huge thanks to Leicester Tigers for bringing along the Anglo-Welsh trophy to our head offices in Nuneaton. As the clubs main sponsor, it’s great to be associated with their successes on and off the pitch and we’ll be watching eagerly as to how the rest of the season plays out.”

Ian Mattioli, chief executive officer at Mattioli Woods, added: “We were incredibly proud to see the Tigers lift the trophy in March and were delighted when the team proudly brought the trophy over to our Leicester office – lots of photos were taken that day and it put a big smile on all our faces.

“Our congratulations to the team, we will be cheering you on for the rest of the season and many seasons to come.”

Will Smith, head of marketing & business development at Fischer Future Heat, said: “As sponsorship partners to the Leicester Tigers, it was fantastic to see the team lift the trophy at The Stoop, and getting to do the same ourselves afterwards at the offices was a real treat. Here’s to many more successful campaigns in the future!”
