The youngest of the rugby-playing Tuilagi brothers, Manu is recognised as one of the most exciting talents in the game.
Named Tigers Young Player of the Year by supporters and team-mates after scoring eight tries in his first season of senior rugby in 2010/11, he also collected more than 60 per cent of the votes in picking up the Rugby Players Association Young Player of the Year award.
Although he missed the Aviva Premiership Final due to suspension, the upward curve continued with a try on his England debut in the warm-up win over Wales and then a place in the Rugby World Cup squad alongside five other Tigers players.
Manu scored his first try in senior rugby in a home win over Leeds in September 2010, then started both games for England Saxons in the Six Nations period, lining up alongside club colleague Billy Twelvetrees at centre before progressing to the senior ranks.
He played in his first Aviva Premiership Final in 2011/12 and then joined England’s squad for the South Africa tour, playing in all three Tests, and was confirmed as an EPS member again for the start of 2012/13.
