Anthony joined Leicester Tigers in the summer of 2009 after four seasons with Gloucester and ended his first campaign at the club with a Guinness Premiership winner’s medal in May 2010 and Churchill Cup winner’s medal with England Saxons.
He made his Tigers debut in the opening-day trip to Sale Sharks in September 2009 and scored his first try in the win over Northampton Saints in October.
A product of Millfield School, he was a key man in Gloucester’s Middlesex Sevens win in 2005, scoring two tries in the final win over London Wasps, and made his competitive debut in a victory over Bristol in the Anglo-Welsh Cup in 2005/06.
Anthony’s form gained him an England call-up and he was capped in the 2006 autumn internationals against New Zealand and Argentina. That season also featured his first appearance in a Premiership Final, playing for Gloucester in the defeat by Tigers.
He scored 22 tries in 91 appearances with Gloucester before moving to Leicester.
