Team News | Montoya returns, Wiese set for Mattioli Woods Welford Road swan song

Figure image

Leicester Tigers have named their side for Saturday’s Gallagher Premiership Round 18 clash against Exeter Chiefs at 3:05pm at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

Backrow Jasper Wiese, centre Matt Scott, prop Francois van Wyk start in what will be their last game for the club, with captain Julián Montoya returning to the team after missing out last week.

Mike Brown returns from suspension to take his place on the wing while Kieran Wilkinson could be in-line for a Tigers league debut in his final game at the club.

Leicester Tigers head coach, Dan McKellar said: “Setting this season aside, Saturday’s an important day for our club and we’re determined to send our fans off with a smile on their face and to give our departing players one more happy memory at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.”

“I’ve been genuinely overwhelmed by the way our supporters turn up week in, week out and I know the players will feed off their energy on Saturday.”
