Teams from Oakham, Nottingham, Stafford and Jersey will have a day to remember as they parade around the pitch at half-time of the Guinness Premiership Final between Tigers and London Irish.
The four teams are representing Tigers after reaching the final of the Land Rover Premiership Cup, which was held at Oakham RFC in April.
Tigers and England star Lewis Moody said: “For the kids at each festival, they have had one of the most exciting goals to aim for. At half time talks I saw them really buzzing about the opportunity. Being given the accolade of champions whilst standing on Twickenham’s turf is pretty special and will be something they will always remember.”
A total of 32 under-11 and under-12 teams took part in Tigers’ Land Rover Premiership Cup, a new mini youth rugby initiative. Nottingham landed the under-11 title after beating Oakham in the final while Stafford won the under-12 tournament with Jersey finishing runners-up.
Each Guinness Premiership club has hosted a regional festival and the two winners and two runners-up from each will be presented to a crowd of 81,000 at the home of English rugby on Saturday.
Anthony Bradbury, managing director of Land Rover UK, said: “We are delighted that the Land Rover Premiership Cup festival has been such a success. It is a significant initiative which provides a unique opportunity for young players to channel their enthusiasm for the sport and to play in a national tournament.”
