Callum showed the value of perseverance in pursuing a place at the Tigers academy after failing to make the cut from his original trials but bouncing back to gain selection.
“I did feel I was getting better as a player so it was good to get in and I just want to keep improving,” he says.
A member of Stoke RFC from the age of six, he also spent two years at Stone RFC while attending Armiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy in Stoke and is now studying at Brooksby Melton College after moving to the Tigers academy.

Who’s the most famous person you’ve taken a selfie with?
We went on tour to Cardiff with my rugby club this year and got a team photo taken with a Youtuber.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Strength, it’s what any rugby player wants.
What are your earliest memories of Tigers?
My grandad goes to games sometimes so I’ve always kept an eye on their results and how they’re doing.
