From Ashby-de-la-Zouch in Leicestershire, scrum-half Danny O’Regan says he first started ‘mucking about’ with a rugby ball as a two-year-old.
He started playing at Ashby RFC just a couple of years later alongside his older brother, and was also part of an Ashby School team that narrowly missed out on a County Cup title in 2019.
Living on a farm, Danny is also into equestrian sport as well as football.
Getting to know you
What three things would you want if you were stuck on a desert island?
Probably an axe, just to help me survive, a book to help me do stuff, and then some sort of material to help me with shelter to keep me warm.
Who’s the most famous person you’ve taken a selfie with?
I don’t really take selfies. I’ve got pictures with a few rugby teams but I’m not really a fan of a selfie.
If you could meet a famous person, dead or alive, who would it be?
Probably Brian O’Driscoll, just because his attitude to rugby is really good and I think he’d be able to help me with progress as well.
