Marketing Executive

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Leicester Tigers are the foremost power in Premiership Rugby, with an enviable reputation and heritage. We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our marketing team. You will be highly motivated with a desire to be excellent in all that you do. As well as having the right personality and a winning attitude, you must be willing and able to work on both online and offline marketing campaigns, manage expectations, hit deadlines, and stay organised across a wide variety of projects. This is a junior role and would suit a recent graduate with a desire to work in sport. You will be based at Welford Road Stadium, Leicester.

Main Area of Responsibility

The Marketing Executive is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of the club's season tickets and match ticket marketing campaigns. This will include keeping the communications and ticket office teams updated, attending weekly meetings, and updating and developing the marketing plans as necessary.

In your role you will also assist the Marketing Manager to produce, drive and execute the other club marketing plans, including but not limited to b2b, supporter events, community and foundation to drive revenue and hit KPI's.

Key tasks

• Deliver a creative, revenue generating marketing plan for ticketing.
• To deliver, with the rest of the marketing team, all marketing activities throughout the company.
• To co-ordinate the marketing plans for each area of the club and to provide marketing support to each department.
• To assist in the planning and delivery of matchday activities, customer events and season ticket benefits with the overall view of improving the fan experience.
• To ensure that the Tigers 'brand' is projected correctly at all times and corporate guidelines followed.
• To carry out any other duties and tasks required by management, which are within the post-holders capabilities.
• To assist in Tigers vision to make Leicester Tigers the best sports brand in the world.

Assistant Groundsman

Reports to: Head Groundsman

Main functions

• To ensure that the training pitches at Oval Park are presented to the highest standard and are safe and fit for purpose.

• To have the knowledge and ability to work at the Welford Road ground at any given time.

Key Tasks

• To mow, mark out and maintain the Oval Park pitches in the manner and to the standard described above.

• To undertake general estate management including maintaining plant compounds.

• To ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and stored in a safe and secure manner and to ensure that due regard in respect of health and safety is paid to all employees, visitors and contractors.

• To ensure that all hazardous substances such as fertilisers are handled in accordance with COSHH guidelines and to ensure that due regard in respect of health and safety is paid to all employees, visitors and contractors.

• To keep abreast of all developments and technological innovations in respect of pitch maintenance.

• To undertake any other duties and tasks as may be required from time to time by the Head Groundsman, chief executive officer or senior management and which are within the post-holder's capabilities.

Key Skills

• Ability to work in a team and using own initiative
• Ability to work match days and evening and out of hours event
• Ability to work under pressure
• Commitment and dedication in achieving the highest standard of pitch surface
• Computer literate;
• Excellent time keeping
• Full clean driving licence
• Good communicator, supervisor and organiser
• NVQ level 2 sports turf (or working towards)
• Previous experience with winter sports (preferably rugby)

PR and Business Marketing Officer

Reports to: Head of Brand

Main Tasks and Areas of Responsibility

• Work with the Head of Brand to develop a business marketing plan to drive the marketing of the club's B2B activities and own the running of that plan.

• To develop ongoing PR plans with our official partners and lead on the delivery of those plans.

• To plan, develop and implement, with heads of departments, PR opportunities based around the club's customer, community and global activities and monitor the success of these activities.

• To identify and create new PR opportunities to improve the club's internal communications by liaising with colleagues and key stakeholders and helping them to understand the value of PR.

• Recognise awards that would be relevant for the club to be associated with and produce applications accordingly.

• Collating and analysing media coverage generated by the club's PR.

• Support the use of social media by all key members of staff, and supporting the Head of Communications and Marketing Manager with the club's digital plan.

• Ensuring the club has the right contacts in the right media outlets including traditional printed press and TV, as well as influential bloggers and vloggers.

• To undertake any other duties and tasks as may be required from time to time by the Head of Brand and which are within the post-holder's capabilities.

• To get the maximum positive advertising and "column inches" from the activities of the club and our charitable foundation.
• To drive our communications
• Ensuring the clubs influence in local and rugby activities.
• Producing opportunities for the club to show off our mission and values.
• Improving internal communications.

• Existing press contact lists and account management skills
