Leicester Tigers have been drawn to face Sale Sharks in the semi-finals of the EDF Energy Cup. After topping Pool D, despite Saturday's 18-5 defeat at Northampton Saints, Tigers will meet defending Guinness Premiership champions Sale at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday, March 24.

The other semi-final paired Welsh rivals Ospreys and Cardiff Blues. The final is at Twickenham on April 15.

Following the draw, Tigers chief executive Peter Wheeler said: "Ther are four good teams in the semi-finals and there was not going to be an easy game. Our matches away to Ospreys last season and at Cardiff Blues this season have been as close as you can get, while we know what qualities Sale possess.

"But we have won at the Millennium Stadium this season and it will certainly hold no fear for us. I am sure there will be a big crowd for the occasion and the players will be really looking forward to it."

The semi-finals will be played at 2.30pm and 5.15pm at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, March 24 with Tigers playing Sale in the first of those two matches.
Tickets details will be available from the Tigers ticket office and the club website soon.
