2024 Tigers Challenge sees over 2'000 players take part

The Leicester Tigers community team enjoyed a hugely successful weekend hosting the Tigers Challenge.

Held in Bognor Regis, the event saw 188 teams ranging from Under 7 to Under 12 age groups, as well as an Under-14 girls group, take part in a range of mammoth rugby competitions on the weekend of April 13 & 14.

Approximately 2,200 players took to the field, with over 5,000 people in attendance, in what was a celebration of the sport.

Commenting on the event, Community Manager Dan Hemingway said "The Tigers Challenge continues to encapsulate everything that is brilliant about the community game.

"Seeing so many rugby teams come together from across the British Isles and beyond to put on a fantastic display of youth rugby is amazing to see.

"Both on and off the field the young players, their coaches and their supporters represented their rugby clubs, the game of rugby union and Leicester Tigers terrifically."
