Head coach Pat Howard has made four changes to his Leicester Tigers side for the return match against Bourgoin in qualifying Pool Four of the Heineken Cup this weekend. Following last week's 28-13 victory in France, Howard brings lock Ben Kay, hooker James Buckland, prop Alex Moreno and wing Leon Lloyd into his starting XV for Saturday's match at Welford Road.
George Chuter and Tom Varndell move on to the bench, while Marcos Ayerza has returned to Argentina to complete exams.
"Tom Varndell has reacted well to a bit of pressure occasionally but it is more to do with the game limits," Howard said. "We've got George Chuter, Louis Deacon and Tom who are getting up on their numbers. We still want to involve them but you have to make sure you pick and choose."
Lloyd comes in for his 49th game in the Heineken Cup as Howard issued a challenge to his players to convert the chances that they create.
"We are looking for the finishers in our side to really start to make the most of a few opportunities," Howard said. "I am looking to increase the competition in that area and I would love to see some of our chances finished off. It is a very open field there. Leon will be up to 49 European games and I hope he reacts well to it - he has trained very well."
Henry Tuilagi (broken arm), Paul Burke (ribs), Gavin Hickie (fractured eye socket) and Ian Humphreys (hamstring) are all counted out by injury, though Howard revealed that Ollie Smith is nearing a return to action after suffering knee ligament damage in the win over Cardiff Blues in October.
