Supporters can try the new Tiger Green Bullet beer, specially brewed for Louis Deacon's Benefit Year, at Welford Road this weekend.

The new Tiger Green Bullet is available in the Final Whistle bar for the Tigers match against Sale Sharks. Final Whistle is open from 1pm, kick-off is at 3pm and the bar will stay open after the game.

Everards have teamed up with long-serving Tigers second-rower Deacon to create the limited-edition beer and England internationals Dan Cole, George Chuter and Tom Youngs joined him to see the first batch being made at their Castle Acres headquarters in Narborough.

The green bullet hops – from which the ale takes its name – were chosen by Deacon, who has been with Tigers since joining the club’s academy in 1997 and is approaching 250 appearances for his hometown team.

Everards describe the beer as “a twist on the traditional Tiger Best Bitter, the official beer of the Leicester Tigers, with a delicate hint of raisins and fruits with a fresh clean bitterness while retaining the original beer’s rounded toffee character”.

Tickets for Saturday's match are availabe now.

Tickets for the Legends match at Welford Road on Sunday, April 21, featuring a Louis Deacon Leicester Legends XV and Matt Hampson’s International Legends XV are available from the Tigers ticket office now.
