Leicester Tigers are investigating the introduction of a new matchday bus service to Welford Road for the 2016/17 season, but we need the help of supporters in gauging levels of interest on each route.
The new service would replace the T1-T5 buses previously run by Arriva.
Last season, services ran on the following routes:
Market Harborough – Kibworth – Fleckney – Great Glen – Welford Road
Oakham - Uppingham – Houghton on the Hill – Bushby – Leicester St Joseph’s Church – Welford Road
Nuneaton – Hinckley – Sapcote – Stoney Stanton – Huncote – Narborough – Welford Road
Market Bosworth – Newbold Verdon – Desford – Leicester Forest East – Welford Road
Melton Mowbray – Ashfordby – Thrussington – Rearsby – East Goscote – Syston – Thurmaston – Welford Road
In previous years there was also a service from Coalville and there has been interest from supporters in a potential service from Loughborough.
To help us in our discussions with the bus companies and in plans for 2016/17, we ask that any supporters who have used the matchday services, or would be interested in any of these routes, to help us in providing some details.
