Leicester Tigers scrum-half Jack van Poortvliet speaks to LTTV following the Gallagher Premiership defeat to Gloucester Rugby in Round 13 of the 23/24 campaign.
Van Poortvliet spent eight months on the sidelines after missing out on the Rugby World Cup and didn't seem to have missed a beat.
"We’re very disappointed; we weren’t quite good enough today, we did what we could to try and scrape a win but that’s not good enough for us, we know we need to be better," van Poortvlied said.
"We’ll take a long hard look at ourselves and now our focus is straight into next week and what we can do better.
"On a personal note, it’s been a long slog to try and get back, a few different injuries, a few stumbling blocks but it felt so good to be back out there at Mattioli Woods Welford Road so now we look to try and get a win next week and push it forward in the last few games we have left in the season."
