Leicester Tigers are proud to announce academy graduate Harry Simmons has renewed his contract with the club.

Born in Norfolk, Simmons joined Tigers from school and progressed to the development squad in 2016/17 while also gaining senior experience in National One with Loughborough Students and in the Premiership ‘A’ League.

A first-team debut followed in November 2017 and at the end of the season Simmons was chosen as Young Player of the Year by his team-mates.

Simmons has gone on to make 39 appearances in Tigers colours to date.

Leicester Tigers wing, Harry Simmons said: “I’m really happy to be staying with the club. Coming through the academy, getting to represent the club has genuinely been a dream come true so there’s nowhere I’d rather be right now.

“This season’s been up and down for me but the support from our rehab team, the boys has been unreal so I’m focused now on recovering and contributing anyway I can to the club."

Leicester Tigers General Manager, Richard Wilks said: “Harry has come through our Academy and cares as much about the club as we do about him.”

“Players like Simmo are integral to how a club functions, putting their bodies on the line day in day out, with a broad smile and constantly striving to improve and perform.

“Simmo is club first in every way and we look forward to seeing him back on the pitch soon.”
