Welford Road hosted a capacity crowd for a huge day of rugby on Saturday and the Leicester Tigers Foundation sends a special thank-you to supporters for their generous donations towards Comic Relief. The Tigers Foundation aims to raise £20,000 for Comic Relief before the end of the season.
Comic Relief already helps to fund the Tigers Hitz programme through its partnership with Premiership Rugby. The award-winning Hitz is run as part of the Tigers Foundation and tackles some of the biggest challenges facing young people today – unemployment, crime and disillusionment.
On Saturday, as Tigers faced Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva Premiership, the Foundation launched its collection for Comic Relief and are very grateful for donations of more than £1,200.
Coming soon, there is an opportunity for supporters to bid for a number of Comic Relief red noses signed by Tigers players, as well as money-cannot-buy experiences. We’ll have all the updates on the Tigers club website and official Facebook page, and also at www.tigersfoundation.org
