Leicester Tigers Academy colleagues Charlie Beckett and Will Owen team up in the back row as England Under-20 face France in their final game of the Six Nations on Friday.Tigers prop Owen Hills, who made his debut in the victory over Scotland Under-20s last weekend, is among the replacements.
France lead the Six Nations table on points difference but a win will secure the title for the fourth time in five years.
England have made two changes from the side that beat Scotland 26-11 with Beckett and Tom Fowlie both coming into the side.
Head coach Jon Callard said: “It’s been a great effort by the players. To be in this position at the end of the championship is a credit to them.
“We’re at the half way stage of our season with the World Rugby Under-20 Championship in June and we’re mindful that the programme is about developing and helping individuals to go on and play for their club sides and ultimately the England senior side. Matches like this, in this environment with this intensity will do them no harm for their futures.”
Friday’s fixture is at Brighton & Hove Albion FC’s Amex Stadium. Kick off is at 7.55pm and there is live coverage on Sky Sports).
Tigers wing Rhys Williams retains his place in the Wales Under-20s team to face Italy.
