Many of our students have benefitted greatly attending the Dynamite Programme. They have passed BTEC Level 1 Awards, BTEC Certificates and two students are now working their way towards Diploma’s.

Dynamite Programme
The Dynamite programme offers Key Stage 4 students, who are or have been in mainstream education, the chance to gain sports-based qualifications here at Mattioli Woods Welford Road. We offer a unique service based in the heart of the stadium, in our specially constructed Tigers Education Centre. We are also a fully accredited centre, who follow all local authority requirements, as set out by an annual LEBC audit.
Aimed at re-engaging students who may have struggled in mainstream education or have free time within their school timetable, the programme acts as a route for pupils to experience an alternative education process, wrapped inside the world of professional sport.
What can you expect?
Each day will be split into practical and theory sessions, ensuring that physical activity is present at the forefront of every session. Our multi sports based sessions are embedded into the theory sessions, which revolve heavily around sports and leisure.
All our qualifications are accredited with our staff fully qualified to deliver a fun and engaging timetable:
- BTEC Level 1 Sport (Award-Diploma)
- Further Qualifications available on a bespoke basis
Alongside qualifications, there are multiple personal development opportunities, that aim to support the personal development of each young person on placement. Our sessions run across the week (within Leicestershire term times) with sessions starting at 9.30 and finishing at 14.30 daily. Students can be booked on to multiple days throughout the week to suit their current timetable.
Sessions will cost £75 per day.
Once accepted, we will set up a meet-and-greet session with the student and the school, where they can visit the stadium and meet the Dynamite team. From here a timetable is built around specific needs.
