Catering/Bar Staff

Based at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, the largest designated club rugby stadium in England, and the most iconic home of the sport in this country, Leicester Tigers remains the most successful club in the history of a thriving, competitive and successful league structure.

At Leicester Tigers, we are excited to announce that with the return of Match Days, we are looking for Catering/Bar Staff to start at this weekend's match (Saturday, September 18).

  • You must have the right to work in the UK and have a passport and National Insurance Number.
  • Available to work on Saturday, September 18 in a hospitality or retail bar role.
  • Can travel to Leicester Tigers Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

How to Apply:

Send a picture of your passport picture page as well as a document with your National Insurance Number on (this can be an old payslip or P45 or your original National Insurance letter).

Any missing information will delay the onboarding process.

At this point we will send you a link to the online training session that you can complete from home, and you will also receive full training on Saturday before the event starts.

Match Day Stewards

Based at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, the largest designated club rugby stadium in England, and the most iconic home of the sport in this country, Leicester Tigers remains the most successful club in the history of a thriving, competitive and successful league structure.

The Role:

At Leicester Tigers, we are excited to announce that with the return of spectators on the horizon we are looking to expand our Casual Match Day workforce, specifically within our pool of Match Day Stewards.

The role of the Match Day Steward is to ensure that all visitors to Leicester Tigers experience a safe and enjoyable Match Day experience. Our Match Day Stewards will assist with the circulation of spectators, prevent overcrowding, reduce the incidence of disorder or incident and provide the means to investigate, report and take early action in an emergency (as per green guide).

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Promoting the health, safety and welfare of all spectators, other stewards, ground staff and themselves;
  • Carrying out safety checks;
  • Directing spectators who are entering or leaving the ground, to achieve an even flow of people to and from the viewing areas.
  • Assisting in the safe operation of the stadium;
  • Staffing entrances, exits and other strategic points;
  • Recognising crowd conditions so to ensure the safe dispersal of spectators and the prevention of overcrowding, particularly on terraces or viewing slopes;
  • Understanding key points connected to Counter Terrorism prevention and management;
  • Assisting the emergency services as required;
  • Undertaking specific duties in an emergency or as directed by the safety officer or the appropriate emergency safety officer;
  • Providing basic emergency first aid;
  • Responding to emergencies (such as the early stages of a fire), to raise the alarm and take the necessary immediate action;
  • Treating all employees, stakeholders and customers with dignity and respect, ensuring the Tigers values and behaviours are always demonstrated;
  • Carrying out any other duties and tasks required by management, which are within the post-holders capabilities.
  • Upholding the Club’s values of: Club First, Tough, Passionate and Driven.

Who we are looking for:

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to actively and consistently exhibit the Club’s four key values:

  • Club First: To keep the success of the ‘collective’ in mind in all that they do;
  • Tough: To embrace hard work, and to be unwavering in their application and focus;
  • Passionate: To genuinely care about their contributions, and how impactful they are in their role;
  • Driven: To demonstrate a hunger for personal and professional development; challenging themselves, and those around them.

Working in a fast-paced and high intensity environment, the successful candidate will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team and to create positive working relationships.

Essential:

  • Available to work in the evenings and weekends where applicable (i.e. home fixtures)
  • Eligible to work within the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Previous stewarding experience
  • Prior first aid training

At Leicester Tigers, we are excited to announce that with the return of spectators upon us we are looking to expand our Match Day casual workforce, specifically within The Club Shop.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring a first class service is given to all customers whilst visiting the Tigers shop, especially through communication.
  • Ensuring that the stock is maintained to a high standard of presentation and to familiarise yourself with all products and their position within the store.
  • Awareness of all the team on the shop floor and the needs of the day.
  • Complying with the Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ensuring that all Security procedures are strictly adhered too.
  • Carrying out any other duties and tasks required by management, which are within the post-holders capabilities.
  • Upholding the Club’s values of: Club First, Tough, Passionate and Driven.
