Ticketing Staff Casuals
Location: Mattioli Woods Welford Road
Contract Type: Zero hour contract
Hourly Rate: National Minimum Wage

Based at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, the largest designated club rugby stadium in England, and the most iconic home of the sport in this country, Leicester Tigers remains the most successful club in the history of a thriving, competitive and successful league structure.
The Role:
At Leicester Tigers, we are excited to announce that with the return of spectators on the horizon we are looking to expand our Casual Match Day workforce. At present there are opportunities within both The Club Shop and The Ticketing Office.
Ticketing Casual Staff
- Selling and administrating match tickets and all other products which are on sale in the ticket office.
- Arranging and distributing match day ticket collections to customers.
- Answering any queries which customers may have either by telephone, e-mail or in person.
- Dealing with customers in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Working on match days and non-match day Saturdays as and when required. Match days can be Friday’s, Saturday’s or Sunday’s and at varying times)
- Carrying out any other duties and tasks required by management, which are within the post-holder’s capabilities.

Casual Coaching (Community)

The Role:
As part of our commitment to the growth of the game of rugby and the Tigers Family, Leicester Tigers Community team work with local schools and rugby clubs to engage as many young people in Rugby Union as possible. We have opportunities for casual staff to work alongside our full time community team to support with coaching on our flagship programmes, including Tigers Rugby Camps and Match Day Coaching Clinics. These are based across our community regions including Leicestershire and Rutland, Notts, Lincs and Derbyshire, Norfolk and Staffordshire.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with full time staff to deliver fun and engaging coaching sessions that ensure participant enjoyment and safety.
- Offer support on Match Day Coaching Clinics at Leicester Tigers home games.
- Coaching on Leicester Tigers Camps during the school holidays when available.
- Represent the brand of Leicester Tigers and its values.
- Stay up to date with current coaching and safeguarding practice

Match Day Stewards

The Role:
At Leicester Tigers, we are excited to announce that with the return of spectators on the horizon we are looking to expand our Casual Match Day workforce, specifically within our pool of Match Day Stewards.
The role of the Match Day Steward is to ensure that all visitors to Leicester Tigers experience a safe and enjoyable Match Day experience. Our Match Day Stewards will assist with the circulation of spectators, prevent overcrowding, reduce the incidence of disorder or incident and provide the means to investigate, report and take early action in an emergency (as per green guide).
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Promoting the health, safety and welfare of all spectators, other stewards, ground staff and themselves;
- Carrying out safety checks;
- Directing spectators who are entering or leaving the ground, to achieve an even flow of people to and from the viewing areas.
- Assisting in the safe operation of the stadium;
- Staffing entrances, exits and other strategic points;
- Recognising crowd conditions so to ensure the safe dispersal of spectators and the prevention of overcrowding, particularly on terraces or viewing slopes;
- Understanding key points connected to Counter Terrorism prevention and management;
- Assisting the emergency services as required;
- Undertaking specific duties in an emergency or as directed by the safety officer or the appropriate emergency safety officer;
- Providing basic emergency first aid;
- Responding to emergencies (such as the early stages of a fire), to raise the alarm and take the necessary immediate action;
- Treating all employees, stakeholders and customers with dignity and respect, ensuring the Tigers values and behaviours are always demonstrated;
- Carrying out any other duties and tasks required by management, which are within the post-holders capabilities.
- Upholding the Club’s values of: Club First, Tough, Passionate and Driven.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring a first class service is given to all customers whilst visiting the Tigers shop, especially through communication.
- Ensuring that the stock is maintained to a high standard of presentation and to familiarise yourself with all products and their position within the store.
- Awareness of all the team on the shop floor and the needs of the day.
- Complying with the Health and Safety procedures.
- Ensuring that all Security procedures are strictly adhered too.
- Carrying out any other duties and tasks required by management, which are within the post-holders capabilities.
