Armistice Day

To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War 1, Leicester Tigers are paying tribute to the 46 Tigers players who played for the club during both World Wars, and who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

We are dedicating our Leicester Tigers v Sale Sharks in the Premiership Rugby Cup match on Friday November 9, at 7.45pm as our Armistice Day match. The Leicester Tigers Foundation will be recognising the 46 fallen Tigers, by naming a commemorative wreath after each fallen player. Each wreath will be held by a supporter of the Foundation, on the pitch pre match as The Last Post is followed by a minute’s silence.  The wreaths will be laid by the Wall of Legends by representing a Roll of Honour for the 46.

How can you get involved?

You can represent one of the 46 Tigers players and be part of the event by donating a £100 to the Leicester Tigers Foundation, this money will go towards the permanent memorial, which will be built at the front of the Holland & Barrett stand outside on the plaza. You will be part of the match and represent your 'Tiger' by parading his wreath on the pitch and laying it at our Wall of Legends.  Your name will be engraved on the monument as a contributor, you will also receive 2 complimentary tickets to the match.
