In partnership with the SMB College Group, the HITZ Jump into Employment course is based at Stephenson College (Coalville) and is centred on building the skills to support young people to become work ready.
HITZ Jump into Employment provides the opportunity to gain:
- Maths and English Functional Skills qualification
- BTEC Work Skills Level 2 Certificate
- Sports Leadership Award
- Over 20 days work experience in organisation of interest to the learner
- Support for physical and mental health
How does the course work?
HITZ Jump into Employment is aimed at leaners 16-19 years, however places for 19+ leaners will be considered on an individual basis. The course is 16 weeks long, with the cohort of learners starting September 2023.
A typical day consists of engaging classroom sessions and bespoke enrichment opportunities, including sport, workshops and guest speakers.
