A former Ireland Under-20s prop, Ben Betts joined Leicester Tigers in the summer of 2016.
Born in Limerick City, Betts joined the Estuary club in Shanagolden before spending eight years with Young Munster.
He played for Munster at Youth, Under-19 and Under-20 levels while combining his rugby with an English and History course in University of Limerick and played for Irish Under-18 Clubs, Ireland Under-19s and the Under-20s squad that reached the final of the World Junior Championship in Manchester during the summer of 2016.
After joining Tigers later that summer, he played National League rugby with Loughborough Students and made his Leicester debut as a replacement in the Anglo-Welsh Cup win over Northampton at Welford Road in January 2017.
He continued his rugby development with a month with the University of Sydney in May 2017 before returning to Tigers in time for pre-season training.
