Born and raised in Leicester, wing David Williams made his senior debut for the club at the resumption of the 2019/20 season after signing on loan from Nottingham.

He came through local club rugby to gain a place at the Tigers academy and, after graduating through the system, had a season in Wales with Ebbw Value and then joined Nottingham, combining Championship rugby with studies at Nottingham Trent University. He also gained selected by England Students on the back of his tryscoring record in the Championship.

He returned to Tigers on loan and made his first appearance in the game against Exeter Chiefs as the 2019/20 campaign got back under way from a five-month postponement period and remained with the club at the start of the 2020/21 season.
