1. Why is wheelchair rugby so important to you
WCR has literally changed my life after my accident. Not only did it improve my physical strength which crossed over into my everyday life, but mental I’m so much stronger being round experienced chair users with the same disability that could pass on their experiences.
2. What got you into wheelchair, rugby and sport
Initially it was to regain strength and help me return to work and what I thought was a normal life. I then got forced to retire for on work and it became a full time job.
3. What have your achievements been when playing in the wheelchair rugby chair?
Paralympic Gold medal in Tokyo.
Three European gold medals
Freedom of the borough (Rotherham)
Proud father of two daughters.
My work with Spinal Injuries Association SIA offering support to people with a similar injury.
