Simon Koroiyadi grew up playing basketball and hockey alongside his rugby and joined the Tigers academy in 2020/21.

A student at Trent College, he started playing rugby with Long Eaton RFC and joined the Tigers Developing Player Programme in Nottingham as a 13-year-old.
