With his 277 first-team appearances spread over 16 years, Tom Berry captained Leicester Tigers before and after the Second World War.
He won three England caps in 1939 and played for the club at lock, No8 and prop as well as flanker.
Berry gained representative honours with Leicestershire and, after his playing days, served the County on the RFU committee, acted as an England selector and served as RFU president in 1968/69.
As well as his own contribution to the Tigers cause, three of Berry’s sons played first-team level with the club.
