Leicester Tigers Academy scored five tries in victory over Leeds in the Under-18 League on Saturday.
After losing their first two games of the academy season, Tigers followed up a 27-24 victory over Newcastle at New Year with by beating Leeds 37-14 at Loughborough University.
Scores from wing Alexander Garrett and hooker Charlie Barraclough, together with the kicking of captain Joseph Woodward, gave Tigers a 15-point lead before Leeds got off the mark with a converted try.
The back-rower Simon Koroiyadi provided a third score before a Leeds penalty try trimmed the visitors’ advantage to 25-14 before half-time.
Woodward ran in the bonus-point try early in the second half and there was still time for wing Samuel Jacques to add a fifth to stretch the lead beyond 20 points.
