Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints are excited to announce a Derby Day Double offering for supporters.

The arch-rivals will meet on two more occasions before the conclusion of the 2022/23 campaign, offering up twice as many East Midlands Derbies for fans to enjoy this season.

Kicking off at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Monday, April 17 (Kick Off: 7.00pm), Leicester host Northampton in the first fixture before the return game on Saturday, April 29* at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens.

The whole of Mattioli Woods Welford Road will be open for the Monday night match, giving Season Ticket Holders access to their usual place in the stands or on the terrace.

In addition, Season Ticket Holders can take advantage of two (2) FREE additional tickets to bring along family or friends. Details on how to access the tickets will be emailed to Season Ticket Holders.

Speaking about the additional matchdays during the final months of the 2022/23 campaign, Leicester Tigers Head Coach Richard Wigglesworth said: “We are really excited about these extra games, not only because they’re derby fixtures and all that they bring with them but also the chance to give our players more match opportunities.”

“At this late point in the season, it’s incredibly important to have every single player match-ready and these two fixtures provide us with chances we wouldn’t have had to get 23 more players, two competitive games against quality opposition.

“Equally so, we get a chance to see some younger guys who may not have had a chance to get games in a Leicester Tigers shirt the chance to run out for the club alongside more experienced guys. But, in saying that, they’ll have to earn it.

“Competition is important and these matches also offer more of that within the group, which will only help keeping the players improving every day.

“We’ve seen this season, when the young guys have had their chance they have proven they’re up to the standard of what we expect at Leicester Tigers and I’m looking forward to seeing who puts their hand up to be selected in these fixtures as well.”

Tickets will go on general sale from 10.00am on Friday, March 17 and are available for £15 (Adults) and £5 (Under-18s) in all parts of the stadium.
