Matchday guide: Tigers versus Stade Francais

A new season of European Rugby Champions Cup kicks off at the home of the Leicester Tigers on friday evening with French champions Stade Francais the visitors. Kick-off is at 7.45pm and tickets are available now.Both clubs include a number of World Cup players, with Marcos Ayerza, Tom Youngs and Dan Cole among the Tigers squad and Stade Francais able to call on Australia scrum-half Will Genia, France lock Pascal Pape and Italy captain Sergio Parisse.   Former Tigers scrum-half Julien Dupuy – a European Cup hero in the club’s run to the 2009 Final – will also hope for a Welford Road return in the colours of the Paris club.   Team news from both camps is announced at noon on Thursday on the club website and social media pages.   Turnstiles, bars and food kiosks at Welford Road open at 5.45pm on Friday.   The Tigers roadshow vehicle, known as The Maul, will be on the plaza for supporters to take on the Speed Pass Challenge and create a souvenir of the day in the photo booth.   The Junior Tigers Club is open for two hours ahead of kick-off with activities for young supporters, including a pre-match visit from a Tigers player and the chance to become a Tigers matchday mascot or Tiger Cub and join Welford on the pitch in the build-up to kick-off. Pick up your copy around the stadium, price £3.   We’ve got half-time entertainment with two teams going head to head in The Ultimate Big Boot on the pitch and we’ll present special prizes to our Season Ticket Holder of the Match and First Time Visitor winner.   After the game, there is live music with resident band Rock Bottom in Final Whistle.   All pool fixtures in the European Rugby Champions Cup are included in Tigers season tickets.   If you hold a junior season ticket or family season ticket, you can upgrade places to adults free of charge at the Tigers ticket office if you think kick-off is too late for younger supporters.
