Matchday guide: Tigers v Falcons this Saturday

Celebrate your family Christmas at Welford Road on Saturday afternoon when Leicester Tigers host Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership. Kick-off is at 3pm and tickets are still available.On the back of two wins over Munster in the European Champions Cup, Tigers are back on home turf hoping to end 2015 on another high note, though Dean Richards and the Falcons will have other plans.   Sitting third in the Aviva Premiership table, Tigers have lost just once in six previous rounds but face a crucial period in the season with Newcastle at home, Saracens away and then Northampton Saints at Welford Road on January 9 before the return to European rugby next month.   Falcons travel on the back of a European win over an in-form Connacht side, with Richards and coach John Wells among those visiting their old home ground.   The turnstiles, bars. kiosks and the Junior Tigers Club VIP area will be open from 1pm opn Saturday. Supporters can also take part in the Speed Pass Challenge on the plaza outside the MET-Rx Stand.   The Junior Tigers Club has activities for young supporters, including a pre-match visit from a Tigers player and the chance to join Welford on the pitch in the build-up to kick-off as a Tigers matchday mascot or Tiger Cub. Click here for details.   The Club Store is open from 9am, with a full range of replica kit, leisurewear, souvenirs and the new range from Superdry.   For supporters on the other side of the stadium, there is an extra bar unit and toilet facilities on the corner of the Crumbie car park.   Team news from both camps is announced at noon on Christmas Eve.   Arriva matchday bus services are running on four routes this week.
