Leicester Tigers and Mattioli Woods have agreed a new partnership deal that will see the wealth management firm’s branding feature on the front of the men’s playing shirt.
Founded by Ian Mattioli and Bob Woods in Leicester more than 30 years ago, the firm now employs more than 1,000 people to provide financial planning, investment management, employee benefits, and pension services to individuals and companies.
Mattioli Woods has been a Club Partner since 2016 and in almost a decade has seen the relationship go from strength to strength. During the prosperous time together, the company logo has also featured on the back of the men’s shirt and training kit, while also seeing Mattioli Woods help to deliver the Business Club and multiple community initiatives.
As well as featuring on the front of the men’s shirt, the stadium will continue to be known as Mattioli Woods Welford Road, while the eastern stand at the historic venue will also continue to carry the firm’s name.
Speaking about Mattioli Woods, Leicester Tigers Chief Executive Officer Andrea Pinchen said: “We have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with Mattioli Woods over a number of years now and I, on behalf of everyone at the club, thank them for their continued support.”

On the new partnership agreement, Mattioli Woods Chief Executive Officer Ian Mattioli MBE DL Hon LLD added: “It’s a real privilege to continue working in partnership with Leicester Tigers, something we have done in some form for the past five years. Working with everyone at the club - the players, staff and the fantastic supporters - is always a pleasure.”
