Important travel advice for derby day at Saints

Figure image
Supporters heading to Franklin's Gardens for Saturday's Aviva Premiership derby against Northampton Saints are strongly urged to plan their journeys in advance with roadworks and congestion likely.

The game clashes with a Northampton Town FC league game against Oxford United and there are traffic restrictions on Weedon Road due to the ongoing roadworks. Also, not all of the Sixfields car parks are open.

Franklin's Gardens will open at noon for early arrivals and there is live music in the Rodber Suite after the game so no need to rush off at the final whistle.

Here is travel advice supplied by Saints:

By car

The club's official car parks on Edgar Mobbs Way will open ahead of the Match Day Village opening at noon. As with all Saints home games, post-match traffic management will be in operation.

Alternative car parks are available in Northampton town centre, with those operated by the Borough Council not charging at weekends. Click here for more information.
