Don’t miss the chance to vote for our very own Joe Heyes for England’s Player of the Summer tour of Argentina.
After featuring for an hour in the warm-up match against a France XV, Heyes racked up 114 minutes across both of England’s victories against Los Pumas.
The tighthead prop helped anchor the scrum against a fierce Argentinean pack, led by ex-Tigers captain Julián Montoya, as his efforts were fundamental to the series sweep in the test series in South America.
Heyes produced two stellar performances, with a standout assist in the first test in La Plata, cannily stepping in at scrum-half to set up Tom Roebuck, before topping the tackle count with 15 in the second test against Los Pumas despite being withdrawn before the hour mark.
