Live entertainment lined up for Tigers in the Park

Leicester Tigers can now reveal more details of the entertainment scheduled for our Tigers In The Park family day on the opening day of the new season on Sunday, September 3.

This free annual event marks the season opener at Welford Road with Tigers facing old rivals Bath Rugby at 3.00pm in the first fixture of the 2017/18 Aviva Premiership campaign.

Based on Nelson Mandela Park opposite the stadium and the plaza outside the main stand, Tigers In The Park hosts an ensemble of entertainment for all the family.

Gates open at 11.00am and there will be live music from Tabi Gervis, the 14-year-old singer from Bourne who wowed judges on this year’s ITV show The Voice Kids.

Market Harborough’s own three-piece cover band The Smarties will also be on stage.

Warble Entertainment’s daring double act Mr and Mrs Danger will join the line-up, performing a number of stunts including fire and knife juggling as well as a ‘bed of nails’ finale.

We’ll also welcome Hinckley-based hip-hop dance group Original Movements, who will be showing off their street dance style and staging classes for families to get involved.

Tigers are delighted to welcome back award winning Bhangra group Gabhru Panjab De who joined us for the final home match of last season back in April.

Supporters will be able to join club mascot Welford as he leads Welford Road’s 125th Birthday Bash, celebrating a special anniversary at Tigers’ iconic stadium.

There will be activities and entertainment for three-and-a-half hours ahead of the kick-off to the league season at 3.00pm.

Match tickets are on sale now, priced from £18 adults and £8 juniors, and can be booked online in person at Welford Road or by phoning 0116 319 8888 (option 2). The office is open 9.00am-5.00pm Monday-Saturday.
