The Leicester Tigers Academy brought their season to a close with a run all the way to the final of the Manchester Sevens.
After previous outings at Bury St Edmunds and Broadstreet Sevens tournaments, the young Tigers came through the pool and semi-final of the International Invitation Cup at Manchester before final defeat.

The pool stages, played at Broughton Park FC, brought wins over CRY Crusaders (31-14) and Mazars All Blacks (36-5), and a defeat by Samurai Barracudas, the team they would meet again in the final.
Tigers beat Storm 7s 26-7 in the semi-final and then led for a spell in the final against the Samurai Barracudas before eventually being beaten 52-21.
Academy assistant manager Tosh Askew said: “It was a very good show from such a young side and a good way to sign off for the season.”
