Amorosino back for 'A' League trip north

Lucas Amorosino, Joe Cobden and Peter Bucknall have been called into the Tigers Development XV for this evening's match away to Newcastle Falcons.

Argentina international Amorosino came off the replacements’ bench in the 50-29 win over Northampton Wanderers in the opening game of this season’s Premiership Rugby A League campaign at Welford Road last Monday.

Now, after a full recovery from an ankle injury, he takes the No15 shirt, with countryman Horacio Agulla moving into midfield to partner Academy prospect Cobden at centre.

Former Leeds Carnegie prop Bucknall joins Joe Duffey and Julian White in the Tigers front row. On-loan Ben Gulliver and recent signing Steve Mafi are also included in the forward pack.

Mafi was among the try-scorers when Tigers began their defence of the 'A' League title with victory over Northampton last week.

The next home game in the competition is against Leeds Carnegie on Monday, September 27 (7.30pm).
