Are you our Junior Tiger Hunt winner?

During the summer, we challenged our Junior Tigers to use their imagination to build a model Welford Road to be in with the chance of winning a family season ticket and matchday experience.

Congratulations to our two winners, Bethany, 13, and Isobel Westerman, 11, and Ben Wright, 16, who utilised their skills on the video game Minecraft to create a virtual Welford Road.

We caught up with our winners at Tigers in the Park, ahead of the club’s 49 – 33 opening home victory over Newcastle Falcons in the Gallagher Premiership.

Bethany and Isobel have won a matchday box experience for Tigers home game against Sale Sharks on September 30.

Bethany said: “We were playing on Minecraft when our dad told us about the competition to build Welford Road, so we looked at each and said lets do it using Minecraft.

Isobel added: “It took a long time to do, at least an hour every day for a couple of weeks, but we’re really pleased to have won.

“We are part of the Junior Tigers Club and were mascots at a game a couple of years ago, it’s really cool when the Tigers players come and talk – and we enjoy the face painting.”

Our second winner Ben Wright, who has based a family season ticket package, explained: “I saw the competition and I’m looking to follow a designed-based career so I thought it would be a really good chance to show skills off.

“I put a lot of time and effort into the design and it took about 20 hours, but to get a family season ticket for us all to come down is fantastic.

“We come up from Somerset to watch Tigers and have always followed Tigers as my dad used to live up here, so we’ll be cheering on the lads from the stands now.
