Leicester Tigers Development XV will open the Aviva Premiership 'A' League season with a local derby against Northampton Wanderers at Franklin's Gardens on Monday, September 3.
Champions in 2010 and 2011, and semi-finalists last season, Tigers are in the northern conference of the competition which this year will run from September to December.

The Northern conference also includes Northampton, Newcastle Falcons, Gloucester United, Worcester Cavaliers and Sale Jets. Tigers will play each of their rivals once in the tournament with the top two in the northern and southern conferences going into the semi-finals in early December.
Newcastle (September 10) and Worcester (October 1) are the visitors to Welford Road.
