Leicester Tigers will kick off the new Aviva Premiership season at Gloucester Rugby at the beginning of September, before welcoming Wasps in the first home game on Saturday, September 10.

The season’s league programme was revealed this morning, with Premiership Rugby also confirming that the Anglo-Welsh Cup will return during 2016/17, kicking off the weekend of November 4/5/6. Pools and fixtures will be announced later this month.
The Gloucester fixture at Kingsholm on Friday, September 2 is the opening game of the Aviva Premiership season and will be shown live on BT Sport. The London Double Header at Twickenham the following day features defending champions Saracens against Worcester Warriors and then Harlequins against Premiership newcomers Bristol Rugby.
After the Round 2 tussle with Wasps at Welford Road, Tigers will also host Bath Rugby and Worcester Warriors in the opening phase of the season, with away fixtures against Newcastle Falcons and Sale Sharks before the start of the European Champions Cup campaign in October.
Dates and times for all league fixtures up to and including Round 8 in November have been confirmed, with broadcasters BT Sport selecting their games for live coverage. All other dates are subject to alteration.
The opening derby of the season against Northampton Saints is at Welford Road in Round 10 during the first weekend in December and, after a Christmas trip to Exeter Chiefs, Tigers host defending champions Saracens at New Year.
Old rivals Bath are taking their home game against Tigers to Twickenham Stadium in April.
Sale Sharks are the final Welford Road visitors of the regular league season before Worcester Warriors host the Tigers in Round 22.
