Marcos Ayerza has been named as the Green Flag Forward of the Month for February for his display of "timing, power and technique" against London Irish. The Argentina international prop was one of three front rowers nominated for the award, which recognises the performances of forwards right across the Aviva Premiership.
Award judge David Flatman, the former Bath Rugby and England prop and now BT Sport and ITV Sport commentator, also nominated Mark Jones, the Sale Sharks hooker, and Bath Rugby and England prop Henry Thomas.
In selecting Ayerza as his stand-out forward for February, Flatman said: “I think he is the best loosehead prop in the world. His performance at London Irish . . . was a savage display of timing, power and technique.”
