Seremaia Bai has been suspended for three weeks after pleading guilty to charging into a ruck or maul, contrary to Law 10.4(h).Leicester Tigers centre Bai was sent off by referee Wayne Barnes for the offence in Saturday’s Aviva Premiership win at Wasps.
An RFU disciplinary panel of His Honour Judge Sean Enright (chair), Daniel White and Steve Miles, sitting at the Coventry Holiday Inn on Tuesday evening, deemed the offence to be of mid-range entry point for sanction and banned Bai from May 10-31. He is free to play again on June 1.
The same panel suspended Matt Kvesic (Gloucester Rugby) for three weeks after pleading guilty to a tip tackle, contrary to Law 10.4(j). They deemed the offence to be of low-range entry point for sanction and banned Kvesic from May 10-31. He is free to play again on June 1.
