Big day out at Welford Road this Saturday

Leicester Tigers welcome Sale Sharks to Welford Road on Saturday in a crucial Aviva Premiership encounter - and the only home fixture during March. Kick-off is at 3pm and tickets are still available.

Turnstiles, bars and food kiosks at Welford Road open at 1pm.

Everards have teamed up with Tigers second-rower Louis Deacon to create a limited-edition Tiger Green Bullet beer in honour of his benefit year and it will be on sale in Final Whistle this week.

This Saturday, Tigers supporters are also being challenged to demonstrate their fan power in an Aviva Premiership trophy lift-off.

Martin Bayfield, the former England forward and now the face of ITV's Aviva Premiership coverage, lifted the 15kg trophy for more than two minutes while filming last weekend's highlights show, while the best figure for a supporter is one minute 43 seconds.

This week the Trophy Lift-Off tour stops at Welford Road and, if you think you have the power, and are 18 years of age or older, you can sign up to the Tigers qualifying event. Click here for details, or pop down to Final Whistle in the Caterpillar Stand on Saturday.

The Junior Tigers Club VIP Area will be open from 1pm and members will be able to take part in games and activities as well as enjoying the Crusha Milkshake bar. There is also a lucky draw opportunity for young supporters to lead the teams out as a matchday mascot or join the Tigers Club pre-match parade and the chance to meet some of the Tigers players.

The Tigers Club Store is open from 9am and there are extra shop units open inside the stadium.

Meet popular prop Logovi’i Mulipola in the 100-page match programme and hear about his graduation from bruising beach rugby in Samoa to one of the biggest clubs in European rugby. We also catch up with Matt Hampson and Louis Deacon as they look ahead to the Legends game at Welford Road next month, and don’t miss another edition of George Chuter’s Inside Line. The programme is available throughout the stadium, price £3.

All five matchday bus services run in conjunction with Arriva will be in operation, from Market Harborough, Oakham, Nuneaton, Market Bosworth and Coalville. For more details and bus timetable, click here.

Stay after the match and enjoy live music from resident band Rock Bottom in Final Whistle.

Match tickets for Saturday are available now. The ticket office is open 8.30am-5pm weekdays and from 9am on matchday. Or click here to book online and collect on your way to the game.

And don’t forget the deadline for the best prices on 2013/14 season tickets is this Saturday so book before closing time on Saturday and spread the payments with interest-free direct debit.

There is an extra ticket office in The Maul inside the stadium, at the Clubhouse End, if you want to organise season tickets too.

The collection point for pre-ordered match tickets is just outside the ticket office in the corner of the Caterpillar Stand plaza.

Look out for all the team news ahead of the game on the club website on Friday afternoon.
